How Do I Request The Contraceptive Pill?

Get your contraceptive pill, same day from a pharmacy

You can now get the contraceptive pill directly from a pharmacy without a prescription, no need to see a doctor or nurse, and it’s free.

Who can use this service?

  • If you are starting the pill for the first time
  • If you are restarting the pill after a break

What to expect

  • A private consultation with a pharmacist
  • Health checks (height, weight, blood pressure)
  • Advice on how to take the pill and possible side effects

Pharmacies offer same-day consultations and dispensing, which is faster than our 48-hour turnaround for pill requests.
